How To Get To Skellige In Witcher 3

Published Date :

The Witcher 3 is full of not only brutal fights but also phenomenal landscapes in its vast overworld. The game contains a multi-region world with diverse locations. One among them is Skellige which is popularly known as one of the most beautiful locations in the game. But many players don’t know how to reach it. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get to Skellige in Witcher 3

How to Reach Skellige Islands in Witcher 3

Skellige or otherwise known as the Skellige Islands is an archipelago (group of islands). Fierce warriors and sailors alike have made the island their home. The Isles are barren and the only source of livelihood comes from robbing the seas.

You can reach Skellige during the ‘Destination: Skellige’ main quest. You gain access to this quest after the ‘Imperial Audience’. The only way to get to Skellige in Witcher 3 is via Novigrad. You will need to head to the docks and mark the Golden Sturgeon on your mini map. Here is where you’ll find your Captain who will take you to Skellige.

Once you enter the tavern, you will find Captain Wolverstone. After interacting with him, he will ask you to trade 1000 Crowns in exchange for taking you to Skellige. You have no other choice but to pay. Collect enough of the currency to enter the next sequence.

On the way to Skellige, Geralt will go to sleep. But not for long as he will be awakened by a group of pirates. You will need to fight and defeat them all. It would be wise to upgrade your character in advance as the Pirates are quite strong with levels as high as 16. Once you manage to beat them all, the ship will crash.

A cutscene will emerge which will show Geralt landing up on the beach. Just interact with an NPC called Stiengrim who will point you in the right direction. That’s it, you will finally reach Skellige, in one piece!

That brings us to the end of our guide on how to get to Skellige in Witcher 3. If this was helpful, take a look at more such Witcher 3 guides right here on Gamer Tweak.
