How to Fix the “Hold Position” Bug in the Cartel Protection Mission in COD MW2
At one point in the mission, you will have to hold your position against a wave of enemies. But after eliminating all the enemies, the game still doesn’t allow you to move further. As soon as you do, you are killed by a sniper. To fix the bug:
- Restart the Mission
- When you are attacked by the Mexican Army, Ghost and Alejandro will engage in a conversation
- This will happen after the second wave of the army is eliminated and before the RPG ambush
- Let the entire dialogue finish between Ghost and Alejandro
- Stay by the window and hold your fire
- Once the dialogue is complete, Alejandro will give you the order to jump out of the window
- Jump out of the window and eliminate all the enemies on your way down the mountain
The exact reason for the bug is not clear yet. But it might happen if you try to rush through the game and not let the dialogue complete.
