Best Places to catch High Level Pokemon in Scarlet & Violet

The latest Pokemon titles Scarlet and Violet feature open-world gameplay across the vast map of Paldea. The level of freedom in these titles is unlike any of their predecessors. That raises the question of whether you can catch strong Pokemon early in the game. And what are the best places to catch high level Pokemon across Pladea in Scarlet and Violet? If you too are searching for the answers to these questions then you’ve come to the right place. This guide will help both new and veteran Pokemon trainers to encounter strong Pokemon early in the game.

Best Locations to Catch High Level Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet

Five best locations for High Level Pokemon

Now before running off to encounter strong Pokemon, there are a few things to keep in mind if you are new to the game. It forces you to follow linearity with the Obey feature. Meaning even if you catch one above your level then it will not obey you unless you get certain Gym Badges. That being said, here are the best locations to catch high-level Pokemon in Scarlet:

    • North Province (Area One, Two & Three)
    • Casseroya Lake
    • Alfornada Cavern
    • Dalizapa Passage
    • The Great Crater of Paldea (Area Zero)

North Province (Area One, Two & Three)

The North Province is home to many strong and rare Pokemon that you can encounter quite early in the game. In Area One by Glaseado Mountain, you will find Altaria, Chansey, Dratini, and more between levels 48 to 56. The Fury Falls in Area Two has Pokemon like Scyther, Luxray, and even Tera Variants like Slaking and Corviknight. While in Area Three, you will find Gyarados, Gabite, and Chansey around the Fairy Crew base.

    Casseroya Lake

Once you get the Swim ability on your mount, you can head over to Casseroya Lake. At this location, you will find high level water-type Pokemon like Azumarill, Dondozo, Vaporeon, and Gyarados. You will also fight the False Dragon Titan here as a part of the Path of Legends questline.

    Alfornada Cavern

In this Cavern situated below Alfornada City, you will find strong fighting-type Pokemon like Hariyama, Medicham, and Tera Hawlucha. Moreover, you can also catch Gabite, Toxtricity, and Salazzle between levels 40 to 44.

    Dalizapa Passage

This area is located to the north of Zapapico town in the East Province (Area Three). Here, you will find a variety of high-level Pokemon like Torkoal, Ursaring, Pyroar, Misdreavus, and Lycanroc. Apart from that, you will also face the fan favorite Lucario in Terastallized form. It will be the Ice Tera type and at level 75 so make sure you have a strong fire-type Pokemon in your team.

The Great Crater of Paldea (Area Zero)

Area Zero is a post-game unlockable in the Great Crater of Paldea. Here, you will find Paradox Pokemon exclusive to your versions. You will also encounter strong ones like Raichu, Magnezone, Drakloak, Bisharp, and more.
