How to Start the Event
You can only start the Haunted Carriage event in the Ashwold Cemetery zone of the Sanctuary. This event will only run every two hours during the day. That is between the server hours of 9:00 am to 11:00 pm.
So, even if you are busy during various hours of the day, you can always take part in the event at some point. And if not then you can just do the same on the next day instead.
Now, follow these steps to start the Haunted Carriage event:
- Travel to the Eastern Gardens Waypoint
- If you arrive on time, you will get a notification
- This notification will say that the Haunted Carriage is waiting
- Click on the OK button to begin the event
Now, you will be auto-navigated to the Haunted Carriage. The carriage will be waiting for you in Ashwold Manor. If you want, you can also go to the carriage on your own as well, without auto-navigation.

The objective of the event is for you to take the carriage from Ashwold Manor, through the Outskirts to the Ossuary safely. How to Defeat the Tax Collector Boss in the Haunted Carriage Event
To complete the final objective of the game, you will have to fight him. Since your enemies thus far were not very strong, you will be just fine health-wise when you get to this boss. While you will need to fight the Tax Collector, you do not need to kill him. If you manage to hit him even once, you’ll get your rewards for the event.
