Rockstar Games has revealed an unexpected way for fans to watch the next major Grand Theft Auto 6 showcase. Instead of heading straight to YouTube, the studio’s upcoming Extended Look presentation will premiere first on Netflix, which means subscribers get an early preview before it becomes available to everyone else.
It is set to air on August 27, 2026, at 3 PM ET, with Rockstar confirming that it will arrive on its official YouTube channel and GTA 6 website six hours later (9 PM ET). It’s a surprising move for a franchise that has previously shared its biggest trailers through Rockstar’s own platforms and, of course, YouTube.
GTA 6’s Next Showcase will be Revealed on Netflix
Ever since the second trailer dropped, fans have been eager to see the actual gameplay. Rockstar has remained unusually quiet over the past few months, with some rumors here and there, but the wait is finally coming to an end.
According to the announcement, the upcoming presentation is called Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. Rockstar hasn’t shared how long it will be, but the title alone suggests this won’t be just another trailer. Instead, it appears to be a more in-depth presentation designed to give players a better understanding of what they’ll actually experience when they step into Leonida later this year.
