GTA V is a game that has taken the world by storm. Even though it was released in 2013, it still holds a high level of popularity among gamers. GTA Online, its online version, is a multiplayer game developed by Rockstar which is intended to give up to 30 players the open world of GTA. You can roam, complete competitive and co-op tasks and do lots more exciting stuff in it.

Does GTA Online Have Cross Play?
We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but no, GTA 5 does not allow cross play. Although unfortunate, it is understandable due to the vast number of GTA 5 mods that are available for PC. In case you want to add some custom mods to GTA 5, here’s how to install them on PC. These mods change things up in the game, right from minor changes to major game transformations. You can become iron man, hulk or add zombies to the picture. You can even use a mod to make GTA V way more realistic. Although extremely fun, these mods are one of the main reasons why cross-platform play is not possible as of now.
The PC version of the game also has completely different balancing if you compare it with PS4 and Xbox. GTA 5 does not have cross-save support either, which means that if you want to transfer your saved game from one platform to another, you won’t be able to do it. You will have to start the game all over again.
Unlike popular games like Fortnite and Warzone, there seems to be no plan of adding cross play in GTA Online. Even with the existence of Epic Online Services, which provides the developers access to tools like cross-play and cross progression, it is not yet known if Rockstar Games will enable cross play in GTA 5.
So for now, players from PC, Xbox and PS4 platforms can only match with players of their respective platforms. In case you don’t have friends who have the same platform as you, don’t worry. You can easily discover and make new friends through GTA Online. You never know, a co-op heist mission might just help you find a new friend.
