In Grow a Garden, Rain is a valuable weather condition that not only helps your crop grow faster, but also increases its value by giving it a mutation. Here’s everything you need to know about this weather, its frequency, duration, and how it boosts even more value by stacking with other mutations.
Grow a Garden Rain Weather Guide

Rain can occur naturally in-game and happens randomly. In the current state of the game, it cannot be triggered with a specific item. Thankfully, you won’t have to wait too long because it can happen every 5 to 10 minutes, and the rain itself will last for 5 minutes.
This is great for your high-value crops because rain has a 50% chance to make crops Wet which gives a 2x value to your crops, and boosts growth speed by +50%. So, if you have a big fruit that got mutated with Wet, its value is going to significantly increase, maximizing your profits.
Visually, the crops affected by the Wet mutation will have water drops falling off them consistently. It can look similar to the Chilled mutation, which has ice shards falling off instead.
If you’re using Godly or Advanced Sprinklers, your crops can get mutation stacks. Plus, a crop can also have Gold with Wet mutation, boosting its multiplier even more.
- Wet + Rainbow: 2x x 50x = 100x
- Wet + Shocked + Golden = ~2000x multiplier
- Wet + Shocked + Rainbow = ~5000x multiplier
So, if you already have a Rainbow crop, wait until it rains to give it the Wet mutation, and wait more until it gets the Shocked mutation during a Thunderstorm. If luck is on your side, your crop(s) will get a massive boost in value.
