Looking to boost your gameplay with one of the best passive pets in Grow a Garden? The Mole pet might be exactly what your garden needs. This legendary pet not only looks cute but also helps you passively earn valuable resources over time.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to get the Mole, what it does, its drop chances, and why it’s a top-tier pet for both beginners and experienced players.
What is the Mole in Grow a Garden?
The Mole is a Legendary-tier pet introduced in the Lunar Glow Event 2025. It’s known for digging underground every 80 seconds and returning with sheckles or gear. Because of this passive ability, it’s considered one of the most efficient pets for players who want to earn without constantly grinding.
How to Get the Mole Pet

To obtain the Mole, players must hatch it from a Night Egg, which was added in Update 4.3.2.
- Egg Type: Night Egg
- Drop Chance: 22 percent
- Event: Lunar Glow Event
- Release Date: May 10, 2025
You can obtain Night Eggs by earning Lunar Points and reaching milestones. For example, if you provide Moonlit fruits and earn 70 Lunar Points, you get 2 Night eggs. Similarly, you can obtain more Night eggs at 240, 290, 320, and 430 points. The Night staff will help you speed up the process.
Mole Passive Ability – Digging for Rewards

Since the Mole’s main feature is its automatic digging mechanic, it burrows underground and returns with a reward.
- Currency (Sheckles)
The Mole can bring back a random amount of sheckles ranging from 500 to 11,000. - Gear and Tools
In addition to currency, the Mole can dig up various tools and items:- Watering Can
- Trowel
- Recall Wrench
- Basic Sprinkler
- Advanced Sprinkler
- Godly Sprinkler
- Lightning Rod
- Master Sprinkler
- Favorite Tool
- Night Staff
Note: While sheckles are more common, the chance of receiving rare tools is significantly lower.
While the Mole is a strong pet overall, it does have some drawbacks:
- Noise: Players often report that the Mole makes loud digging sounds, which some may find distracting.
- Unpredictable Gear Drops: While it can drop powerful tools, there’s no guarantee when or if those will appear.
Players have shared that having 3 Moles in their garden gave them a Godly Sprinkler, 3 Advanced Sprinklers, and 2 Watering Cans in 6 hours, while some received 3 Lightning rods, and more, in a couple of hours.
