The Crimson Thorn is a Transcendent, multi-harvest crop in Grow a Garden, introduced during the Seed Stages Event. It belongs to both the Prickly and Stalky crop types so it will be greatly useful in upcoming events. Moreover, due to its rarity and value, it is a highly sought after crop for gardeners. Here’s how to get it and how it can boost your income.
How to Get the Crimson Thorn Seed
- It has a 0.13% chance (1 in 777) to be in stock at the Seed Shop. This means you will rarely see it in stock, so make sure to keep an eye on Stock notifiers and log in as soon as it’s available.
- If it is in stock, the seed costs a whopping 10,000,000,000 (Sheckles) or 1149 (Robux). Its Sheckle price is quite high for new players, so the only way to get the crop faster is via trading or gifting.
- Additional ways include Lucky Harvest, or being stolen by a Red Fox both of which are rare occurrences.
- Snails can drop this seed when you harvest, and occasionally, plants get dug up by pets like the Dog, Golden Lab, or Shiba Inu pets.
- Restocking may happen via a Red Panda or via admin restocks, so make sure you’re online and logged in during ‘admin abuse’ events.
Visually, the Crimson Thorn is a spiral of crimson and maroon spikes with crystalline structures that you can harvest. Because it’s multi-harvest, once planted, it keeps providing harvests, leading to consistent Sheckle income.
It has great value as well.
- Its price-floor value (i.e. the guaranteed minimum) is 189,525 Sheckles.
- Its average value is around 210,000 Sheckles.
- The floor weight is 5.70 kg, average weight is 6 kg, and the minimum possible is 4.20 kg.
- There’s also a small 0.25% chance that a Crimson Thorn becomes a huge crop.
If you let the crop stay on the plant and collect multiple mutations, its value will increase by a lot, making it one of the most one of the most valuable crops in the game.
Unlike many Transcendent crops, it’s not tied to a short event, so you can still get it in the future via the Seed shop. Among multi-harvest crops, it has the highest base value, putting it ahead of even Maple Resin or Bone Blossom.
