The God of War Ragnarok Valhalla DLC is here for PS4 and PS5 and it’s a completely free add-on. But for some players, GOW Valhalla is not working and there could be multiple reasons behind it. Some are also encountering the ‘Content Not Found W-118728-7’ error. Don’t worry – take a look at all the possible causes and ways to fix this problem.
God Of War Ragnarok Valhalla is Not Working? Try these Fixes
- Restart the console. Sometimes a simple restart can fix problems with games and software.
- Make sure the base game is fully downloaded and installed. If you’re reinstalling the base game, let the download finish entirely, and only then start accessing the DLC.
- Check if the game is updated to the latest version. The DLC may not work if you are not running the latest version of the game. Make sure you have updated the game to the latest version before trying to play the DLC.
- Check if you have enough space for the DLC files.
- Check if the DLC is downloaded and installed correctly.

In order to play God Of War Ragnarok Valhalla today, you will also need to have God of War Ragnarök fully installed. If you are re-downloading GoWR and downloading GoWR:V at the same time, please wait until the base game has completely finished before trying to access the DLC.
Apart from that, one of the reasons why the Valhalla DLC is not working is because you might not have enough space – you need to have at least 8GB free.
In case the DLC has been downloaded and installed incorrectly or the files are corrupted, delete it and reinstall it from the PlayStation Store.
While the expansion is free, you need to have the base game purchased already. The store won’t charge you if you own the game on your PS account or have inserted the game disc in your console, so you can dive right in once it’s downloaded.
It’s worth noting that there’s no in-game activity you have to do to start the content of the new DLC – the Valhalla button will be present on the main menu and is accessible to everyone who owns GoW Ragnarok. The progress here is different from the progress, stats, and gear from the main game.
GoW Ragnarok Valhalla DLC Content Not Found W-118728-7 Error
If you come across the ‘Content Not Found W-118728-7’ error, the fix is to head over to the PlayStation Store and download the GoW Ragnarok Valhalla DLC. It won’t be downloaded automatically and even if you have updated the game to the latest version, this step of manually going and getting the DLC is mandatory.
You don’t have to play the main campaign of GoW Ragnarok and don’t need to have completed it either, but it’s highly recommended you do that before starting the DLC.
