In Tears of the Kingdom (TotK), you can get Zelda’s Golden Horse. This decent horse has 3 Stamina and is fairly easy to tame. But you can’t just walk inside the Hyrule castle and find it there waiting for the princess. Rather you will have to talk to a few NPCs and take some side quests from them. So here is the quest that gives you this horse and the map location where you can find it.
How to Get Golden Horse in Zelda TOTK
In TotK, you can find Zelda’s Golden Horse near the fallen ruins north of the Tabantha Tundra during the “Potential Princess Sightings” quest. Before you start this quest, I recommend you have at least 1 full extra Stamina wheel or Stamina elixirs to use when taming the horse. So if you are all set, this is what you have to do:
- Fast Travel to the Oromuwak shrine and follow the road northwest.
- You will reach Lucky Clover Gazette. If you don’t have this Shrine unlocked, you can go east from the Gatakis shrine.
- Talk to Penn and Traysi here to get the Potential Princess Sightings quest.
- Next, go to the Snowfield Stable. You can follow the northeast road from Lucky Clover Gazette to get here.
- Talk to Penn and Harlow here to get the side quest Zelda’s Golden Horse. She will tell you that you can find the horse north from here.
- If you go north directly, you risk triggering the Frost Gleeok fight, especially if you are too close and get detected by it.
- To avoid this, go north but move to the east instead of heading there straight.
- Head to the coordinates -1807, 3365, 0241, and you should spot the Golden Horse here among the rest of the horses. Check its map location below:
- Now, all you need to do is mount and tame it. The best method is approaching it from behind sneakily and mounting the horse. Use any Stamina Elixirs if you are about to run out of Stamina.
Once you tame it, register it to any nearby stable, and you will have your new horse ready to be used anytime!
That’s all you need to do to get the Golden Horse in Zelda’s Tears of the Kingdom. For more help on this game, check out our topics on how to find Toto Lake, the best story order, and Morok Shrine.
