The Shining Essence Echo in Remnant 2 is a crafting material that has multiple uses. Similar to most boss drops during the campaign, you can either use them for crafting another material or give it to a specific NPC. In this case, you can give the Shining Essence Echo to the Custodian for a certain reward. Or you can use it to craft a specific Amulet by handing it over to another merchant. But should you give the Custodian the Shining Essence Echo? Don’t worry, check out our guide on how to get and use this crafting material to find out.
How to Get and Use Shining Essence Echo in Remnant 2
You can get the Shining Essence Echo by defeating Tal’ Ratha or his metaphysical form. While Tal’ Ratha (metaphysical) rewards more unique drops, you can get the Shining Essence Echo from both boss fights. You can fight this massive creature if you decide to be not eaten or consumed by him. But if you choose to not get eaten by him, you will face his metaphysical form which is a more challenging boss fight.
The Shining Essence Echo mainly has two uses in Remnant 2. And they are as follows:
- You can give the Custodian the Shining Essence Echo.
- You can give the Drzyr Replicator merchant for crafting the Void Idol amulet.
- Along with this crafting material, you require 15 Hardened Iron and 1000 Scraps to craft the Void Idol.
This amulet increases the Reload Speed by 20% as the Reloads only require 50% of the magazine from reserves to fully reload. If you have unlocked the Gunslinger archetype, we recommend crafting this amulet at the Drzyr Replicator. However, for choosing either of the uses above, you must return to the Ascension Spire, first. From there, you can find the Custodian located in N’Erud at the Phantom Wasteland. Or you can head to the Dryzr Replicator near the Custodian’s location.
Should You Give the Echo to the Custodian?
If you choose to give the Custodian the Shining Essence Echo in Remnant 2, he will reward you with the Siphon Heart. It is a relic that offers the user 10% of the base damage dealt as a Lifesteal for 10 seconds. Being a Relic, you can assign up to three Relic Fragments while using the Siphon Heart. So, giving the Echo to Custodian or holding it for the Drzyr Replicator, the choice lies in the reward you want.
If you want the Void Idol amulet, we recommend not giving the Echo to Custodian. But if you want the Siphon heart, we suggest giving the Echo to the Custodian. Luckily, you can also reroll N’Erud and fight the Tal’ Ratha boss to get both rewards. So, we leave the rest of the decision to you.
