Underwater missions in any Mario games have been notorious for being dreadful and this one is similar, not only are you fighting to save your breath but you also have to go against a giant eel in the game.

The Plunder in the Sunken Ship is the first mission when you get to the Jolly Roger Bay. The sunken ship is at the bottom of the bay at the other end from where you start.

To get the eel out, you will need to bait it first and you can do that by swimming dangerously close to the eel and then back to the surface.

This will make sure that Unagi the Eel gets out of the way and you can enter the tiny little shaft where the eel was hiding in.

Here you will need to open four chests but you have to do it in specific order to get the Power Star.

When you come to the place where you see the chests, the first you need to open is the one furthest from the right, which will be placed on a raised platform.

After this, you will need to open the chest which is on your left and closest to the room, follow that with one furthest from the door and finally open the chest in the middle.

This will drain out the water enabling you to hop up on to the platforms and smash a ? box to get Plunder In The Sunken Ship Star in Mario 64.
