The Thalamus in Hades 2 is a type of Greenery that can not be found easily like a Lotus or Moly. Instead, you need to grow this plant in Crossroads using some Origin Seeds. The Thalamus is an extremely elusive resource, which makes sense as it has limited use in the game. But you still need to find it as part of the main story. So for the sake of progression, here’s how you can get Origin Seeds and eventually, Thalamus.
How to Get Origin Seeds in Hades 2
Origin Seeds are only found on the other side of the Chaos Gate, that is in the Chaos Realm. You get access to the Chaos Gate while completing the main storyline. Once you are inside the Chaos Realm, talk to the primordial Chaos and he will give you some Origin Seeds for free. You can also find the seeds while digging up the spots using your Silver Spade.
How to Use Origin Seed & Grow Thalamus in Hades 2
After obtaining the Origin Seed, you must go to the Crossroads and plant it in the soil. For those who don’t know, you can get two planting spots through the Flourishing Soil Incantation. It requires only 1 Moly to make this Incantation, so you should easily get it. Anyway, after planting the Origin Seed in Crossroads, wait for 7 clocks to get Thalamus in Hades 2.
What are the Uses of Thalamus
Thalamus is needed to craft an Incantation called “Unraveling of a Fateful Bond”. This Incantation lets you survive the Surface without losing health. It should be noted that the Surface has a curse that drains your Health if you walk around there. However, with the “Unraveling of a Fateful Bond” Incantation, you will become immune to this curse. Aside from 2 Thalamus, you will need 2 Lotus, 2 Moss, and 2 Nightshade for brewing this Incantation at your Concoct.
You will actually get this Incantation as part of the storyline later. As there are challenges and quests awaiting on the surface.
That’s all you can do to get and use the Thalamus in Hades 2. To farm other resources like Deathcap and Cinder, be sure to check out our guides on it.
