Cinder in Hades 2 is a very important ingredient that is used to craft powerful Weapons and Incantations. Let me tell you that by no means you can avoid getting this resource. As for someone who wants to progress through the underworld smoothly, experimenting with different weapons is necessary. And it is clear as day that you can’t do it without having Cinder in your Inventory. So how does one get a Cinder? This guide has everything you need to know about it.

How to Get Cinder in Hades 2

To get Cinder in Hades 2, you must complete the Headmistress Hecate boss fight. This encounter takes place at the end of the first region known as Erebus. Each time you defeat Hecate, she will drop 1 Cinder that you can collect. Post this fight, there’s no other known method to obtain this resource throughout the entire game.

So it is recommended that you go back to the Erebus biome, survive until the end, defeat Headmistress Hecate, and collect Cinder from her. You can do this as many times as you want, provided you need a Cinder.

How to Use Cinder in Hades 2

As I mentioned earlier, Cinder is an important ingredient in crafting Weapons and Incantations. For example, you can make a weapon called Umbral Flames using 3 Cinder and 3 Silver. Apart from this, you will also need a Cinder for crafting Weapon Aspect for Umbral Flames. Speaking of Incantations, you can craft Permeation of Witching-Wards and Consecration of Ashes Incantations using Cinder as an ingredient in it.

To get any of the above items, you will have to complete the Hecate boss fight several times. But don’t worry, you can use the same strategy and tactics to defeat the boss again and again. There’s no restriction as such. With that said, you can now know how to get and use Cinder in Hades 2.

While making your way to the deeper and darker side of the underworld, you will need some other resources like Shadow and Bones too. Be sure to check out our guide to know how to get them.
