Diablo 4: How To Get Temper Manuals

Updated Date :

There are a number of changes that Season 4 of Diablo 4 has introduced and while the option to zoom out is an eye-catching one, Tempering is a mechanic that you shouldn’t sleep on. Tempering is a brand new crafting mechanic that allows players to add affixes to the items that allow this system. However, in order to do that, you need to know how to get Temper Manuals in Diablo 4.

While they won’t drop easily, adding affixes can be quite useful for your items since they can provide some useful boosts. Since Sanctuary is full of evil creatures lying in wait for you, these boosts can be quite handy. Players are lacking information on how this new system works and if you want to fully use Tempering, this guide has all you will need.

To get Temper Manuals in Diablo 4 players will have to go through Helltides, the Pit, and Nightmare Dungeons and get them as random drops. As you can guess, Legendary Tier Temper Manuals will need players to up their World Tiers and increase the difficulty. Defeating bosses and chests can also be useful if you are looking to add affixes to your items. Once players manage to get one Temper Manual, they are allowed to use it indefinitely.

How Does Tempering Work in Diablo 4

Once players manage to get Temper Manuals in Diablo 4, they will have to head to a Blacksmith and equip them. Temper Manuals are categorized into Defensive, Offensive, Resource, Mobility, and Utility and each focuses on affixes relating to that section. While Temper Manuals can be used indefinitely, they cannot be used on one item continuously. There is a Temper Reroll limit that players will have to watch out for and if the limit is crossed, there won’t be any Tempering effects on the item.

That’s all you will need on Temper Manuals in Diablo 4 and how Tempering works. If you found this guide helpful, do check out our other Diablo 4 guides in our dedicated section here at Gamer Tweak.
