The newly released Super Mario RPG remake brings in a lot of familiar items and accessories from the original SNES version of the game. And this includes the Quartz Charm, undoubtedly one of the most powerful accessories that players can get their hands on in the game. The accessory negates half the damage done by enemies while boosting up the attacks of the wearer by 50%. Not to mention, similar to the Jinx Belt, it also prevents instant death or Mortal Blows in the game.
Having said that, it is a pretty late-game item that you will come across in Super Mario RPG. Obtaining the Quartz Charm requires you to defeat an optional hidden boss which can be quite tricky. So if you are looking to have the powerful accessory at your disposal and make things easier in combat, then here is a guide you should check out further.
How to Get Quartz Charm in Super Mario RPG
To get Quartz Charm in Super Mario RPG, players will have to face and defeat the optional hidden boss Culex. The boss resides in a cross-dimensional region that can be accessed through a door in Monstro Town. However, you won’t be able to access the sealed door directly in the game. Players will have to first travel to Molevile town and meet a mole girl with a pink ribbon. You will come across the mole girl alongside a bunch of crates in the game. Once you interact with her, she will offer you a Shiny Stone in exchange for some Fireworks.
The Shiny Stone is required to unlock the sealed door in Super Mario RPG. You can head inside the house just beside the crate and you will come across Father Mole. Players will then have to purchase Fireworks for around 500 Coins. Once you have purchased the fireworks, exchange them for the Shiny Stone from the mole girl.
Simply head over to the sealed door in Monstro Town and you will be able to access the cross dimensional region where Culex resides. Players will have to then defeat the Final Fantasy inspired boss and acquire the Quartz Charm as a reward.
