Fallout 4 has plenty of in-game mechanics that might be simple but can become confusing if you don’t exactly know what to do. Since the game does not really tell you everything, something like hanging or exiting the Power Armor in Fallout 4 might sound troubling. Fortunately, most of the parts are quite simple so it shouldn’t take you long once you know the controls.

The Power Armor is one of the most sought-after armors in the game and players need to know everything from how to exit the armor to upgrading it. In the chaotic world, external armor is one of the best resources that you can have. Players can exit the Power Armor anywhere without having to wait for a garage or specific places.

If you want to get out of the external armor, you will simply have to press and hold the interact button. You can press and hold E for PC, A for Xbox, and X for PlayStation and you will be able to remove the Power Armor in Fallout 4. Do remember to take out the Fusion Core every time you exit it since the Power Armor is almost useless without it. You can also remove the individual pieces and place them in your inventory while just leaving the Base Frame behind.

How to Remove the Fusion Core in the Power Armor in Fallout 4

If you are planning to exit the Power Armor and leave it behind somewhere, you will have to remove the Fusion Core to make sure that it is not stolen. Close in on the suit after exiting it and you will get the option to Transfer the Fusion Core. Press R to do so and then place it in your inventory and that should do it. This will also come in handy if you are looking to recharge the Fusion Core.

If you are looking to hook the suit simply walk towards the hook and then press craft. You will automatically exit the Power Armor when you go into the craft menu. Now, simply exit the crafting menu and you will find the Power Armor hanging on the hook. This is ideal if you plan to remove and leave the Power Armor in the garage to head out somewhere. Taking out the Fusion Core means it likely won’t be stolen and will remain hanging on the hooks till you wear it and use it once more.

How to Upgrade the Power Armor in Fallout 4

To upgrade the Power Armor in Fallout 4, you will have to head to the Power Armor Station and then head to the Crafting menu. From there, you can either repair any damaged parts or modify them to upgrade your suit. Once you select the modifiers you want to add, you will need the resources required and then it is a simple build. Keep in mind that you will have to add points to the Armorer, Blacksmith, and Science perks to be able to get higher-level upgrades.
