As of 30th March 2022, the League Of Legends 12.6 update has been released. With this update, a lot of the Champions have been changed and certain Game Mechanics have been revamped. One such Game Mechanic that has changed is Gemstones & Prestige Points currencies. Before this update, they were the sole currencies you would use to get Cosmetics. That has all been changed with the introduction of Mythic Essence. In this guide, I will show you how to get Mythic Essence in League of Legends.
How to Get Mythic Essence in League Of Legends
In League of Legends v12.6, Gemstones & Prestige Points and been combined into one currency, i.e. Mythic Essence. With this change, the shops that used the prior two currencies have changed to the Mythic Shop. It is a currency used in unlocking the Mythic tier content in Hextech Crafting. If you are a player that wants amazing Cosmetics, then you will have to collect a lot of Mythic Essences. Here are some of the ways you can get Mythic Essence in League of Legends.
- Before the update, if you had any amounts of Gemstones then those will get converted into the new Mythic Essence. The conversion rate for Gemstones to Mythic Essence is 10:1. The amount you will get here is low but if you had a lot of Gemstones, then you will get a good headstart. You will have a Headstart, it won’t be that much unless you had a whole mountain’s worth of it.
- As a Welcome Gift, Riot will be giving 10 Mythic Essence in League of Legends to all players through a one-time mission. This mission will be active from the 31st of March to the 2nd of April.
- Another way of getting Mythic Essence is by opening up Hextech Chests & Masterwork Chests. The Hextech Chests have a 3.6% chance of dropping 10 Mythic Essence while the Masterwork Chests have a 4.2% chance of dropping 5 Mythic Essence.
- You can also get 10 Mythic Essence for every 50 levels through the leveling system.
- Masterwork Milestones will give you Mythic Essence based on the number of Masterwork Chests opened. That’s 5 Mythic Essence for 5, 10, 15, & 20 Masterwork Chests opened but you will get 10 Mythic Essence after opening 25 Masterwork Chests.
- During Skin Showcases, you can earn Mythic Essence through Loot Milestones by opening Capsules. Here is how much you can get:
- 5 Mythic Essence at 3 Capsules opened.
- 15 Mythic Essence at 5 Capsules opened.
- 20 Mythic Essence at 10 Capsules opened.
- 25 Mythic Essence at 15 Capsules opened.
- 30 Mythic Essence at 20 & 25 Capsules opened.
- During the Essence Emporium, all players will be able to purchase up to 30 Mythic Essence with Blue Essence. This will occur twice every year.
- You can even get more Mythic Essence from Milestone Missions during events.
- 125 Mythic Essence & an event Mythic Essence icon is also purchasable with 2200 event-exclusive currency.
