You should find large or old trees with green texture formed at their trunks to get Moss in this game.

  1. The best place to look for it is in the Cindersap forest. You can also find it in mountains or any regions where there is an abundance of trees.
  2. Find any tree that has green formations on its trunk. Check the above image for reference on what it should look like.
  3. Walk up to it and knock the tree to get it as a drop. You can even use an axe to chop the tree down, although to collect you don’t have to necessarily cut it.
  4. Each such tree should drop anywhere between 1-2 drops of Moss.

How to Use Moss and Make Soup

You can use Moss to make the Moss Soup. It can be made via a Cookout Kit or in any kitchen of an upgraded farmhouse. Thanks to the game’s wiki for this information. To make it you need:
