How to Get More Colonists in RimWorld

The top-down indie game RimWorld is a futuristic game where humans are spread across the universe. While there are different colonies, the player character is stranded on the procedurally generated planet. With the end goal of constructing a spaceship in mind, the random traits given to the characters will affect the nature of the gameplay. But before you can construct the spaceship, you will be building a colony from scratch as you progress. And no colony can thrive without colonists. So this guide will show you how to get more Colonists in RimWorld.

    RimWorld Get More Colonists

Since you are building almost a civilization from scratch, you will always have to look for more colonists. It will help you progress further towards your great escape from the planet. Here’s what you need to do to get more Colonists in RinWorld:

    • You can start by using the Scenario Editor when you select New Game. While you go to Edit Mode here, you can simply change the number of Starting People. Although this is not exactly a method in-game, it still works.
    • Next, you can purchase colonists in RimWorld from Slave Traders. You are effectively freeing these colonists and they will be useful to you.
    • You can persuade Prisoners that get caught and turn them into Colonists. Although it will require you to interact with them. And also make the warden interact with them before they are converted.
    • Along with this, you can also persuade lost travelers and wanderers to be Colonists in RimWorld.
    • Try to tame a wild person. If your trainer is a skillful trainer, he will be able to tame this person and get more colonists for you in RimWorld.
    • Additionally, in-game quests can also reward you with more colonists in RimWorld once you complete them.

That’s all you need on how to get more Colonists in RimWorld. While you are here, make sure you do not miss out on our guides on Cloth, Components, and more at Gamer Tweak.
