How to Get Mjolnir in God of War Ragnarok?
You cannot get Mjolnir in God of War Ragnarok. Before explaining it any further I would like to give you a warning for major Spoilers. So if you haven’t completed the game yet I highly suggest you check out this guide later again after completing the game. Here we will discuss the fate of Thor and the characters that use his hammer in the game.
So if you are back or still reading then here is what happens to Mjolnir. Thrud, the daughter of Thor inherits his hammer after his death. Yes, Thor dies in this game, and no Kratos isn’t the one that kills him. Thor dies at the hands of his own father, who stabs him with his spear. In the cutscene we see him kill Thor and justify to Thrud, how it was Kratos and Atreus that made him kill Thor.
Interestingly, in this exact scene, we see Odin pick up Mjolnir and attack Thrud when she tries to get it back. But don’t worry the hammer doesn’t stay with Odin for long. After Kratos and Atreus defeat Odin, Mjolnir gets a new owner.
In the post-game, you can visit Lunda’s store in The Canyons in Alfheim. Here you can see Thrud pray to her father sitting beside Mjolnir. And the next thing you know she flies away with it. And Freya mentions that Thrud will be training with the Valkyries and Sigrun.
