How To Get Exocraft In No Man’s Sky

Updated Date :

Exploration is a major part of No Man’s Sky and an Exocraft will help you do so faster. In this action-adventure survival game, you will be traveling across the vast universe in search of resources. The game has over a quintillion planets for you to explore. However, each of them has different conditions and life forms. Some are warm, some cold, and some have hostile creatures. In order to traverse the planet faster and safely, you’ll need an exocraft and this guide will tell you how to get it.

To get an Exocraft in NMS, simply follow the Main Quest till you reach the Construction Research Station part. Once you build the research station, interact with it to open the Construction Modules menu. Navigate to the Transport Modules tab and you will find the blueprints to unlock various Exocraft.

Every Exocraft will require a specific amount of Salvaged Data. You can use the scanner to look for this data in the Buried Technology Module. Once you get enough Salvaged Data, you can unlock all the blueprints.

Alternatively, you can also continue the main storyline till you complete the “Expanding the Base” quest. As a reward, you will receive the Exocraft Terminal blueprint. Then, you can build this terminal but you’ll need a good amount of Salvaged Data. Next, you must hire an NPC called a Vy’keen technician. To do so, visit a space station and talk to any Vy’keen you come across. This will trigger the Exocraft Technician quest. Once you complete that, you will get access to the Nomad rover and other blueprints.

Best Exocraft in NMS Interceptor

In NMS Interceptor, there are six Exocraft that you can unlock. Here’s a list of them:

  • Roamer
  • Nomad
  • Pilgrim
  • Colossus
  • Minotaur
  • Nautilon

According to me, the Minotaur is the best Exocraft in NMS. It has a jetpack and can shoot missiles. With the Minotaur Bore upgrade, it has the ability to alter the terrain. Moreover, it is immune to all planetary hazards and can mine for resources underwater.

That’s everything from us on how to get Exocraft in No Man’s Sky. For more such content as how to get Sentinel Ships, make sure you visit our NMS guides.
