You need Match Invitation letters in order to unlock all character cards in Genshin Impact. As per its description, you can use it to send out an invitation to a selected player of your choice. The invited player will then come to the tavern to have a duel with you. So use them to Invite characters and duel with them. Here is how you can invite characters:
- Go to The Cat’s Tail.
- Next, turn left and interact with the Invitation board.
- Choose “Invite Character”.
- Select the character that you want the card of. This will also show you the rewards you get when you defeat them.
- Finally, click on Invite to send them an invitation.
- Next, play a game of the Genius Invokation TCG and defeat them. This will unlock the character card that you want.
Aside from this, you get 4 character cards for free just for completing the tutorial. These cards are:

You can get Match Invitation Letters from the Card Shop for 1000 Lucky coins per letter. Though to buy them frequently you need to be a level 5 TCG player. To increase your level simply play more TCG matches.
- Go to The Cat’s Tail.
- Walk up to the counter and talk to Prince.
- Choose View the Card Shop’s Commodities.
- Buy the Match Invitation letter by exchanging your Lucky Coins.
Aside from buying you can also get Match Invitation letters as level-up rewards. You can claim your rewards by talking to Prince and selecting Ask about Player Level.
