The Cece Hat is a unique headwear item that you can get in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). It is a stylish and fashionable hat that is sure to turn heads. In order to earn the Cece Hat, you must complete some quests. These quests are all related to the mayoral election in Hateno Village. While it may be a drag to do these quests, it is worth it if you really want to get the hat.
How to Unlock and Wear Cece Hat in Tears of the Kingdom
The first quest you must complete to get the Cece hat in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is “Team Cece or Team Reede?“. This quest starts when you speak to Sophie, standing outside of the Ventest Clothing Boutique in Hateno Village. Once you enter, next you will speak to Cece. Cece will ask you to give Hylian Mushrooms to certain people who are not voting for her in order to sway their votes.
The people you need to give to are Reede supporters, you will be able to differentiate between Cece and Reede supporters by their outfits. However, if you want to know the exact list of people you should be giving the mushrooms to, to get Cece’s Hat in Totk, then here is the list below:
- Leop – Moves around, often at the Inn or in shops.
- Medda – At the Hateno School.
- Dantz – At the Hateno Pasture.
- Koyin – At the dock by Lake Sumac, near Hateno Pasture.
- Tokk – At the Ancient Research Lab.
- Uma – Moves around, often at the Inn or in shops.
- Worten – At the Inn.
- Tamana – At the Hylian Tomato Field.

A New Signature Food
This quest is obtained when you give the mushroom to one of the supporters named Koyin. In this quest, you will help Koyin set up his own cheese shop. After this is done, Koyin will reward you with Hateno Cheese. You need to go back and give this to Reede to complete this quest.
Once all of these are completed, speak to Cece to get the “The Mayoral Election” quest. In this, simply speak to Sophie and witness the results of the election. After winning the election, Cece will reward you with the Cece Hat.
