In Pokemon Go, the players choose a Pokemon as their buddy and increase their bonding level to earn the bonus. Follow along with this guide to learn about the other methods to get your buddy excited without poffin.

How To Get Your Buddy Excited In Pokemon Go

Get Buddy Excited Without Poffin in Pokemon Go

Now, before revamping, the only known method for the trainer in Pokemon Go to get their buddy excited was by using the Poffin. However, that changes with the new system. It is possible to get your buddy excited without using a Poffin by playing with it or doing the below-given activities.

Activities to Get your Buddy Excited Without Poffin

Starting with heart points, you need 32 points per day to get your Buddy in an excited mood. All the activities mentioned below will earn you 14 points after completion. Hence, you need to do these activities three times a day to reach the 32-point mark.

Activity  Points
Visit a new location with your Buddy 1
Feed your Buddy 1
Play together 1
Take a Snapshot of your Buddy 1
Battle together 1
Walk 2 km /  1.25 miles with your Buddy 3
Open a Souvenir / Present 3
Visit a Location discovered by your Buddy 3

Making your Buddy excited can help you earn double the heart on a day, make them rank up the buddy levels twice as fast, and unlock more bonuses for you. You earn heart points as you perform activities with them.

In addition to the table, you’ll see double heart symbols next to each activity when your buddy is excited. Also, one thing to note about is that each of the above-given activities has a 30-minute cooldown period, except the 2 km walk.
