Band of the Mystic Scoundrel in Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the few rare equipable rings available for players. It allows players the ability to perform illusion or enchantment spells as a bonus action after hitting a creature with a weapon attack. Unlike common rings, rare rings like this one grant players passive abilities or skill buffs that might help them during combat against different enemies in the game.
However, as many perks these rings offer they are equally tough to get your hands on. And for players looking everywhere for the Band of the Mystic Scoundrel in Baldur’s Gate 3, you will need to reach Act 3 and access the Circus of the Last Days. Although, things might just get even more confusing from there on. So if you are wondering where to find the ring, then here is everything you need to know.
Where to Find Band of the Mystic Scoundrel in Baldur’s Gate 3
Players will come across the Band of the Mystic Scoundrel in the Jungle of Chult in Baldur’s Gate 3. However, there is no straightforward way to access the area in the game. Players will first need to reach the final act where they will stumble upon the Circus of the Last Days in Rivington. You will need to find your way inside the circus which can be done either by passing different checks against the NPC named Klaus guarding the gate or by paying him 200 gold.
Once inside the Circus, you will need to find a Djinn named Akabi who will invite you to the Spin the Wheel game. The Djinn will then let you play the game, however, if you pass one of the insight checks available, you will get to know that the game has been rigged. Akabi is using a Mage Hand ring to cheat in the game.
Now, players will either have the choice to steal the ring from the Akabi and win the game with it or confront him about the rigged game. Both the options will lead to him being upset and he will cast you to the Jungle of Chult in BG3. It is worth mentioning only the character who interacted with Akabi will be teleported to the jungle and other party members will still be around the Circus.
Once you are in the jungle, you will need to head south where you will come across a broken tent located near X: 1562, Y: 1518 in the game. Besides the broken tent would be a skeleton and a backpack which would consist of the Band of the Mystic Scoundrel in Baldur’s Gate 3.
After grabbing the ring, head towards the portal which will cast you out of the jungle. Another thing worth mentioning is that right beside the portal would be a chest that consists of the Legendary Weapon named Nyrulna.
