Genshin Impact Elemental Crucible Event Guide: How To Do It
Learn how to enter and complete the Elemental Crucible event in Genshin Impact.
The first-ever co-op elemental crucible event in Genshin Impact is live now. The event starts from October 12 and lasts until October 19, 2020. In this guide, we have enlisted all the details that you might want to know about the event right from the pre-requirements to the completion and rewards.
Genshin Impact Elemental Crucible Event: Pre-Requirements
First things first, you need to know the pre-requirements to be able to get access to the first-ever co-op event in Genshin Impact. Here are the three requirements that you should complete.
- Reach Adventure Rank 20
- Complete all Quests in Prologue: Act II – For a Tomorrow Without Tears
- Complete Timaeus’s quest One Giant Step for Alchemy
Once you have completed all the above-mentioned requirements, you can straight head into the elemental crucible event.
Genshin Impact Elemental Crucible Event: Walkthrough
To begin with, you will need to head to the Timaeus and interact with him to start the One Giant Step for Alchemy quest. He will be standing at the Alchemy area in Mondstadt. This will begin the quest which will lead you to the Thousand Winds Temple. You can use a teleport point to quickly fast travel to the Thousand Winds Temple.
Once there, you will again find Timaeus. Interact with him and a ruin guard will spawn. Defeat the guard and a chest will spawn. Collect the rewards from the chest to complete the quest. This will activate the Elemental Crucible which will further allow you to access and enter the Crucible event.
When you interact with the Crucible, a matchmaking screen will open and it will match you with 3 other players. You can then enter the event and complete it to get some exciting rewards.
Once the event starts waves of enemies will spawn. All you need to do is start defeating those enemies. They will drop different Elemental clots when defeated. Collect these clots and take it to the Elemental Crucible and collect it there.
Once the first clot is dropped at the Crucible, you and your team will be assigned an elemental type. There will be a progress bar over the Elemental Crucible, which will fill as you and your team drop more and more clots into it. One thing to note here is that you will have only 15 minutes to fill the bar, so hurry.
The Genshin Impact Elemental Crucible event ends when the bar is full. This will spawn a chest with rewards. It will mostly have Hero’s Wit and Adventurer’s Experience. Hence, it depends on you whether you want to spend 40 resins to collect it or not. If you do want to collect it but are falling short on Original Resin, refer to our guide on how to restore Original Resin.
Genshin Impact Elemental Crucible Event: Tips to Complete the Event Easily
The very first tip I have to give is that you should assign one of your teammates to collect the dropped clots and others should focus on defeating enemies. A character can collect at most 3 clots at a time. However, you need to ensure that all the 3 clots are of the same element, otherwise, they will disappear. For instance, if you collect two Pyro element clots and then collect one Cryo element clot, only the Cryo element clot will remain in your hand whilst the other two disappears.
Sticking to the same elemental clot type will also help to fill up the progress bar quickly. Another tip is to make sure that the character from your roster you want to enter the event should be in the first slot of your team.
You should carry a decent amount of food while entering the event. This is because you will have to move around a lot especially to collect the elemental clots. Food will help you boost your stamina and prevent it from draining quickly.
Characters who have great AoE and huge attacks are most recommended for the event. Some of the best characters to use for the Genshin Impact Elemental Crucible event are:
How to Complete all the Challenges in Alchemy Handbook
Whilst the Crucible event gives you mostly Hero’s Wit and Adventure EXP as a reward, the Alchemy Handbook, on the bigger picture gives you far better rewards. You can access the Alchemy Handbook by clicking on the compass icon on the top-right corner of the screen. Completing all the challenges in the handbook will grant you rewards including Primogems, Mora, Fragments, Adventure EXP, and more.
Most of the challenges in the Alchemy Handbook will require you to complete the Genshin Impact Crucible event multiple times, so be prepared for that.
The Crucible event also helps to increase the Battle Pass experience. For instance, one of the Battle Pass tasks is to “Reach a total alchemical efficiency of 160,000 in Elemental Crucible” and it gives you 1,200 EXP. The other task is to complete the Crucible event 10 times and it gives you 1,500 EXP.
That’s everything we have got to tell you about the Elemental Crucible event in Genshin Impact. Apart from the event, you can get rewards completing several quests in the game. However, these games are time-consuming and challenging to complete. You can refer to some of our quest guides to easily complete them and quickly get rewards. For instance, you can read our And This Treasure Goes To and Question And Answer quests guides.
