If you’ve played Grow a Garden, you already know that mutations are where the real money is, and that’s the case in Garden Horizons as well. If you’re just planting and harvesting without paying attention to weather events, you’re missing out on some profit. Certain weather conditions can transform your crops, giving them visual changes as well as value boosts, and having the right ones can turn your normal harvest into a money maker.
Here’s every mutation currently available in Garden Horizons and how to get them. Note that if you’re short of Shillings or want some seed packs for free, redeem these Garden Horizons codes right away!
What are Mutations?

Mutations are special modifiers that increase a crop’s sell value, and they stack, so one crop can get multiple mutations at once. This will boost its total value quite a bit, leading to more money.

For max profit, watch for Storm and Starfall events, plant high-base-value crops right before or during those weather windows, and avoid harvesting too early unless you need quick cash. In a nutshell, time your planting around major weather events, stack mutations, and let traits (such as Unripe, Ripened, and Lush) boost the final result.
Traits value multipliers
Unripe gives you a 1-1.9x value multiplier, whereas Ripe gives you anything from 2 to 2.9x boost. There’s also Lush which gives a 3x value multiplier, giving a significant increase to the final selling value.
FAQs
At the time of writing this article, Starstruck (x6.5) currently has the highest known multiplier. However, combining Starstruck with other strong mutations like Shocked or Gold can result in even higher total value. As the game gets more popular, and adds more updates, we will get stronger mutations.
Most mutations are tied to specific weather conditions like Rain, Snow, Storm, or Starfall. However, some mutations such as Silver and Gold can occur randomly without needing special weather.
Yes. Mutated crops usually have visual changes that reflect their mutation type, making them easy to identify before harvesting.
