How to Unlock Future Trunks as Playable Character in DBZ Kakarot

Future Trunks entry into the Dragon Ball Z was shrouded with mystery and awe as he seemingly destroyed Frieza and King Cold in the series, Future Trunks comes back in time to warn Goku of an impending issue and thus saves his life. Dragon Ball Z Kakarot allows you to play as Future Trunks in the game and this guide will show you how to unlock Future Trunks as a playable character in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot.

How to Unlock Future Trunks as Playable Character in DBZ Kakarot

Future Trunks shocked everyone when he revealed that apart from Goku he was the only other who could go Super Saiyan and as such the character has a lot of influence over the show as well.

You can have Future Trunks as a part of your party and then you can also unlock him as a playable character if you wish to do which opens up further side quests for the players.

To unlock Future Trunks you will have to complete the story, only after doing so will you be granted the possibility of playing as Future Trunks in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot.

After you complete the story, you will need to the outside of Capsule Corporation in West City. On the right you will see Bulma along with Future Trunks, they will be near the time machine. After talking to them as Goku you will be able to play as Future Trunks.

Once you get to play as Future Trunks you can take part in more side quest called Bulma Lone Guardian and this guide will show you how to do it.

How to Start Bulma Lone Guardian Side Quest as Future Trunks

To begin this side quest, you will have to go inside the Capital Capsule building and find Bulma. Once you do this you will need to go to the Party Menu and swap Future Trunks as the party leader.

After doing this, talk to Bulma and this will begin the Lone Guardian side quest, if it doesn’t begin right away then you will have to complete a few of other side quests that you can see in the open world.

Keep checking if the quest is available or not and if it is then head right in and this is all there is to know about how to play as Future Trunks and start the Loce Guardian side quests in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot.
