How to Fix FPS Drop & Stuttering issues in V Rising
There are multiple reasons why you are facing FPS Drop & Stuttering issues in V Rising. Whatever the reason may be, the solution to them is pretty easy. Here is what you have to do.
Disable Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator on your PC
Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator on your PC is an enumerator that assigns a value to the rooted piece of software when a new driver tries to install its software on your PC. This software is what causes the Stuttering issue that you have been facing. To disable it, Search Device Manager in the Start Menu. Open it and find Software Devices. Under it, you will find Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator. Right-click on it and then disable it.
Install the Game on your SSD to Fix FPS Drop & Stuttering issues in V Rising
You may experience Stuttering & FPS Drops in V Rising due to your system’s inability to process it faster. As such, installing your game onto your SSD or even a faster HDD will do the trick. That is if you have one. If you don’t have one, don’t worry as there are more solutions to the problem at hand. But if you are considering getting one, make sure to check the price & quality of it before purchasing.
Shutdown unwanted Software Apps
PC Software Apps require system resources to function. As such, multiple of them can start a war on the resources which limits the supply to all of them. To have V Rising run smoothly, you must close and shut all unwanted apps. Check your System tray at the bottom of your screen to see if any apps are running or open the Task Manager by clicking the Ctrl+Shift+ESC button.
Update V Rising, your Drivers, & Windows
Due to version mismatch, apps tend to behave weirdly and all sorts of problems like the FPS Drop & Stuttering issues arise in V Rising. To avoid that, just have a quick check if you have any updates. Go to Device Manager and check if your Graphics Processor needs an update. You should go to Windows Update to check if there is a patch to be installed. Also do check if V Rising has a Patch that was introduced. You can go to Device Manager & Windows Update Settings by searching them in the Start Menu. Your GPU will be under the Display Adapter options in the Device Manager.
Clear temp files to Fix FPS Drop & Stuttering issues in V Rising
Temp Files are temporary files that were created by applications. Over time they build up and start to slow the system down. Removing them is the best plan of action. To do this, press the ⊞ (Windows Key) + R to open up the Run Window. In it, type %temp%. This will open up the Temp Folder. Now press Shift+Delete to permanently delete the temp files after selecting them with Shift+A. Make sure to close all apps before doing this step. After that, in the Run Window type Prefetch and then delete all of the files there. Repeat the same deleting process.
Run PC on High-Performance Mode
If that didn’t help then run your PC on High-Performance mode. From the Start Menu, search the Control Panel. From there, navigate to the Hardware & Software Settings and click on Power Options. Now, you will be able to see the Power Plans that your PC can use. Click on High Performance, if you cannot see it then click on Show additional plans and it will reveal the High-Performance plan.
Run your Game on Low Graphics
You tend to get Frame Drops &/or Stuttering in V Rising issues due to your PC trying to run the game at high Graphics. This puts a load on your PC and it cannot run at an optimal state. As such, running the Low Graphics helps smoothen the game. Also disabling unwanted options is necessary.
