How to Force Respawn Wild Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet

Set up picnic to force respawn

When you visit certain areas of Paldea, you can open the map to check which Pokemon spawn there. Then, you can travel to the areas to look for them. Once you encounter the Pocket Monster you want to catch, there is a possibility that something may go wrong. Let’s assume you are not on the same level or you accidentally knocked it out and it’s not reappearing. You may not even find the one you want in that area. So how do you deal with it?

To force respawn wild Pokemon, all you have to do is set up a picnic in that area. That will remove all the wild Pokemon in the nearby area, and reset the spawn. After a few minutes, pack up the picnic and look around the area. You will notice new Pokemon spawning there. If these are the ones you want, go ahead and catch them. If not, then start the picnic again.

This method works best if you go to a Mass Outbreak. While on a picnic, you can also utilize your time by making Sandwiches with different Meal Powers. For example, you can make recipes with the Shiny Meal Power to increase your chances of encountering a Shiny Pokemon.
