Super Mario RPG Flag Locations (Three Musty Fears)

Published Date :

Super Mario RPG features plenty of side quests that offer you some beneficial rewards. A Ghost Medal is one such reward that increases your defense during battle. However, to get this item, you first need to find and collect three hidden flags. These Flags are hidden by the Three Musty Fears – three ghosts known as Boo, Greaper, and Dry Bones.

Our guide here features the locations of all the Three Musty Fears Flags in Super Mario RPG. So if you have to collect any of the flags, then scroll down to reveal their location.

Note: Before we move further, know that this guide contains a few spoilers related to the story. So if you haven’t started the ‘Find the Flag’ quest yet, I suggest you begin it immediately.

Where are the Three Musty Fears Flags in Super Mario RPG

While you are asleep in Monstro Town, these ghosts will appear and start the game of finding the flag. Just after introducing themselves, they will go and hide the flags. In the next sequence, they will give you some clues about the location of the three flags. Here are those clues:

  • Greaper: I hid my flag… behind a wooden flower.
  • Dry Bones: My flag’s under a green bed.
  • Boo: It’s between “O” and “A.”

These clues aren’t straightforward but vague. That’s why, below we have mentioned the locations (with images) of all the three Flags in Super Mario RPG.

Greaper’s Flag Location

Dry Bones’ Flag Location

To collect the Dry Bones’ Flag, you need to go back to where it all started. At Mario’s Pad. So pause the game, and go to the Map > Mushroom Kingdom Region > Mario Pad. From there, enter the Mario House and look for the Flag under the Bed.

Boo’s Flag Location

This Flag is found at the Yo’ster Isle (Yoshi Island). You can visit there by entering the green pipe in the Pipe Vault area. Once in Yo’ster Isle, walk toward the Yoshi Race Circuit. Next to the race circuit, you can see it is written ‘GOAL’ on the ground. Stand between the alphabets ‘O’ and ‘A’ there to get the final Flag in Super Mario RPG.
