While you wait for the devs to provide a permanent fix, we recommend you check the Remnant 2 server status to see if there is an outage. If that is the case, wait for the servers to be normal. Apart from that, most of the troubleshooting tips are not really working for them. However, there are a few you can try out that might give you an idea as you wait patiently.

Check Internet Connection

Since the Remnant 2 Multiplayer Co-Op Not Working issue is connected to your Internet network, the first thing to do is make sure your Internet Connection is working. A speed test works splendidly and will give you an idea if this is the reason of the issue. Along with that, avoid any major download on any of your devices that might use up more Bandwidth to steer clear of connection issues.

Restart Modem & Router

Your modem and router might have collected a lot of unnecessary cache which might be giving you troubles while trying to add or join your friends in Remnant 2. Restarting them will help you get a much faster and resolved network connection. Additionally, since modem and routers are running 24/7, they might get overheated on occasions. A simple restart is enough to cool it down and help it function better.

Mods

If either you or the friend you are trying to connect your multiplayer with have any mods for Remnant 2, you won’t be able to co-op. Make sure you remove these mods before trying to play multiplayer. Additionally, what you can also do is have the same mods as your friend. If you and your friends have the same mods, you will be able to connect and play the multiplayer.

Turn Off Administrator

If you are looking to play multiplayer online, you will have to turn off the run game as administrator option. Since it will interfere with multiplayer, turn it off while you are trying to connect online.

Allow Remnant 2 on Windows Defender Firewall

Your Windows Defender Firewall settings might be blocking the game and this might cause the Remnant 2 Multiplayer Co-Op Not Working issue. Here’s how you can add it to the Exception list:
