The Forsaken Shores update adds plenty of new fish, a new location as well as a fishing rod called the Sunken Rod in Roblox Fisch. You won’t be able to find it at a Merchant’s shop or via an NPC quest, because its location is tied to something else that’s also new in this update. Thankfully, you don’t have to pay anything for the rod itself! Here’s everything you need to know about finding it and its stats.
Where to Find and Get the Sunken Rod in Fisch?
The location of the Sunken Rod is in a Treasure Chest which can be found randomly across the map. Yes, unlike other rods, you need a lot of luck to unlock the Sunken Rod. I happened to find two Treasure maps while fishing for 30 minutes in Vertigo.
So, go ahead and grab your fishing rod and start fishing — if you’re lucky, you may catch a Treasure Map! Unfortunately, this process is the most frustrating part because there’s no specific location where you can fish for a treasure map, and it’s totally random.
Even after you obtain a map, it won’t be complete – you need to approach an NPC to fix it.
How to Complete the Treasure Map in Fisch
Head to Forsaken Shores which is the new island added in this update. From the Merchant’s shop, take a right and make your way to a pond next to a waterfall. You should be able to see a ladder here.
Climb it, then climb the next two ladders. Look for a yellow light coming from a cave in front of you and carefully reach that location. Make sure you don’t fall off beforehand!
This is where you will meet the Pirate NPC who will take 250 C$ (in-game cash) to fix the map for you. Once the map is ready, you require the GPS tool to head to the exact coordinates.
You should see a glowing wooden treasure chest at the spot and now all you have to do is interact with it to open it. If you’re lucky, you may obtain the Sunken Rod in Fisch from here! If not, you must follow the same process again and hope for the best!
Sunken Rod Stats
- Lure Speed: 20%
- Luck: 150%
- Control: 0.15
- Resilience: 0%
- Max Kg: 5000kg
Since you were lucky enough to find this rod, its luck stat is 150%, but its resilience is 0. It’s best used as a tool to catch more treasure maps because treasure chests can also have items and rare baits like Weird Algae (for the Golden Seahorse), Truffle Worm, Enchant Relic, lots of XP, Sunken Mutated fish, Totems, Fillionare Tickets, unique bobbers and more. Your chances are boosted after every 10 catches, so keep fishing to get better results.
