In Fisch, there are several server events that give you boosted results while fishing, be it with an increased catch rate, chances of getting mutated fish, or even a server-wide luck boost. To inform you when such an event has started, a notification will pop up at the top of the screen, and a few will even have a visual change in the sky. Here’s everything to know about all the server events such as the Night of the Luminous, Firelies, Mutation Surge, Shiny Surge, Shark Hunt and more.
What are all the Server Events in Fisch?
Night of the Fireflies
As the name suggests, the Night of the Fireflies event gives an x2 catch rate to nocturnal fish, so if you’re missing a few fish that can be caught at night, this one is for you. This randomly happens at nighttime so you can wait until it’s naturally night, or you can trigger nighttime by using the Sundial totem, however, there’s no guarantee that this event will appear after you use the totem.
Night of the Luminous
The Night of the Luminous event boosts the catch rate of Sparkling fish by 10% at night, and during this time, you can also increase your chances of getting Sparkling fish when you’re appraising them at the Appraiser in Moosewood.
Shiny Surge
During Shiny Surge, you have a 3% increased chance of obtaining Shiny fish at any location you’re currently at. Similar to the previous event, appraising fish has a higher chance of giving you Shiny versions.
Mutation Surge
Fish have lots of mutations in this game, and they sell for a higher price that the ordinary fish. So, when you see the Mutation Surge notification, you have 15% increased catch rate for mutated fish and for those fish you appraise.
Strange Whirlpool
The Strange Whirlpool allows you to visit Vertigo which is a hidden location underwater. When the notification appears, you must head to the Ocean on your boat and look for vertical lines of wind in the distance. Approach it, and dive into the swirl you see in the water. After a short transition, you will find yourself in Vertigo which is also the way to reach The Depths.
Fish Abundance
Quite self-explanatory, the Fish Abundance server event in Fisch marks a location where you have a higher chance of catching a specific fish. If there’s one for a fish that has high weight, it’s best to head to the location and start fishing.
Absolute Darkness
Absolute Darkness is an event that happens in The Depths. The brightness of the area goes away and a yellow pool gets created that can be spotted with a Fish Radar. You only get 15 minutes so start fishing and you will be able to catch multiple Ancient Depth Serpents from here.

Moonlit Mirage
During the Moonlit Mirage event, if you catch a fish with a Lunar mutation, you will receive a Moonlit Bonus till the next morning. This bonus makes all the fishes caught after that have +5% weight and value, leading to more money.
Shark Hunt
If you want to catch fish like the Great White Shark, Great Hammerhead Shark or Whale Shark, you need to look out for the Shark Hunt event which marks a location where you can fish. Make sure you have a fishing rod that can sustain heavy fish (more than 8000kg) on a Whale Shark event.
Aurora Borealis
The Aurora Borealis server event in Fisch provides x6 Universal Luck Boost to all players for the night and it could also increase appraisal luck.

Lucky Pool
The Lucky pool will spawn anywhere randomly and provides a 45% luck boost when you fish there.
Traveling Merchant
The Traveling Merchant carries some goodies and can only be found at certain places randomly. Keep an eye on the notifications, and you’ll know where the Traveling Merchant has spawned. Visit that island and you will be able to purchase Volcanic Geodes, Crates, Midas rod, Firework and the Mythical Rod.
