While playing Fisch, you may have seen a notification that says ‘A “Moonlit Mirage” event has begun!’ on top of the screen but what does it mean? Is it a location you have to visit in a certain timeframe, a form of a mutation surge, or something else? Here’s everything you need to know about this event added in the 1.06.0 update which also added The Depths.
What does Moonlit Mirage mean in Roblox Fisch?
The Moonlit Mirage event provides the opportunity to catch Lunar fish which gives you the Moonlit Bonus. This mutation grants +5% weight and value for the next fish that is caught by the player. However, if you’ve caught fish via a Crab Cage, you won’t get the Moonlit Bonus. It will stack if you catch another lunar fish.
When this event occurs randomly, the sky changes and you need to be in Vertigo for it. While it’s going on, all fish have a 20% chance of having the Lunar mutation and when such a fish bites the hook, it will temporarily become 40% tougher to reel in. But when you successfully catch it, you will receive a Moonlit bonus that boosts the value and weight (up to 25%) of future catches for the rest of the event.
This is helpful if you want to catch rare fish and make more money selling them. As with other mutations, the fish will have a glowing/neon look indicating that you’ve caught a fish with the Lunar mutation in Fisch. In my experience, this event lasts for 10 to 15 minutes each time.
If you haven’t been to Vertigo yet, you must find a strange whirlpool in the Ocean, marked by wind going up from the spiral in the water. Jump into it and you will be teleported to Vertigo. Look for the marker that says Synth and jump downwards until you land in a spot called Vertigo Dip. This is also where you can complete your Vertigo bestiary, find The Depths key, and then make your way to opening the gate to the Rod of the Depths. So, overall, it’s a pretty important location to visit.
