When you’ve entered the world of Second Sea, you will gain access to plenty of new rods. Frog Rod, Firefly Rod, and Wildflower Rod are three options that you can choose from, or get them all. Each rod has its own strengths, catering to different objectives. In this guide, we’ll break down what makes these rods special, and how to get them.
How to Get the Firefly Rod in Fisch
The Firefly Rod is one of the more accessible rods, found early in the game. It’s available in the Merchant’s shop in Waveborne, the starter island in Second Sea.
- Cost: 9,500E$
- Lure Speed: 75%
- Luck: 35%
- Control: -0.01
- Resilience: 0%
- Max Kg: 175kg
It suffers in Control, Resilience and Max kg and its Luck isn’t too great either. Your First Sea rods will have better stats than this so while it has a high Lure Speed, it is not worth the price due to its other issues. There is no passive for this rod as of now.
How to Get the Wildflower Rod in Fisch
Similar to the Firefly Rod, the Wildflower Rod is found early in the game in Waveborne from the Merchant. It has better stats in comparison, but again, isn’t better than your higher-tier First Sea rods.
- Cost: 7,000 E$
- Lure Speed: 30%
- Luck: 55%
- Control: 0.07
- Resilience: 12%
- Max Kg: 700kg
There is no passive for this rod as of now.
How to Get the Frog Rod in Fisch
The Frog Rod is a step up from the previous two. You can get it near the Waveborne Pond in Waveborne.
- Cost: 12,000 E$
- Lure Speed: 20%
- Luck: 100%
- Control: 0.05
- Resilience: 5%
- Max Kg: 650kg
It has a passive where perfect catches can spawn a frog, boosting luck by +0.5x for 2 minutes. The rod does have issues regarding Max Kg, Resilience and low Lure Speed, but if you want to get an affordable rod from Second Sea, this is a decent option.
Since the first two rods are pretty low-tier, it’s best to not enchant them. However, if you like the Frog rod and wish to enchant it, the best options would be Mystical for Resilience, Unbreakable/Herculean for Max Kg, Hasty/Swift for Lure Speed.
The Second Sea has multiple new rods that can be added to your inventory—here’s how to get the Azure of Lagoon, Blazebringer, Verdant Shear and Great Dreamer rods in Fisch.
