One of the best things you should try in Helldivers 2 is playing it in First Person Mode. As promising as it sounds, you can have so much fun with your squad just by switching POV.
Switching to First Person mode will help if you are in a long-range battle. You will then have immediate access to the Aim Down Sights.
When dealing with enemies at close range, you can immediately switch back to the third-person perspective. If you want to try Helldivers 2’s First Person mode, here’s how you can do it.
Here’s How to Switch to First Person in Helldivers 2
You can instantly switch between First and Third Person in Helldivers 2 using the following controls on your device:
- On PC, press the middle mouse button
- On PS5, press R3 or right thumb stick
Also, it is worth noting that going FPP will require you to have aiming down sights. If not, you won’t be able to switch to first-person mode.
It is possible to change the keybinds if you are not comfortable with the default one. Go to Options > Gameplay > Mouse & Keyboard or Controller > Change Bindings > Combat. From there, you can easily assign your preferred button to switch POVs in Helldivers 2.
Once you have changed to any perspective, the system will save it for you. So, your last preference will be carried over the next time you enter the game. However, if you want to change this setting, go to Options > Gameplay > Remember Aim Mode. Wherein you get three options to choose from, here are they:
- Off: Aiming always starts in the third-person view aim mode.
- Global: All weapons use the last selected aim mode.
- Per Weapon: The last aim mode is stored per weapon.
