Baldur's Gate 3: Mithral Ore Locations BG3

Mithral Ore is a rare and valuable metal resource found only in the lava-filled region of Grymforge in Baldur’s Gate 3. It can be used to craft powerful magic items and armor. However, it takes careful exploration to find the two locations where Mithral Veins spawn during Act 1.

The first Mithral Vein can be discovered after reaching the Ancient Forge. From there, head south along the edge of the cliff until you see a path leading down to the lava rivers below. Be careful as you make your way across the boiling rivers to the other shore.

Once across, you will see a large rocky vein straight ahead. Attack it with any weapon to break it open and collect the first piece of shining Mithral Ore.

The second location is a bit trickier to find. From the Ancient Forge, backtrack north and look for a stairway towards the Adamantine Forge. Climb the stairs and then head left, following the cliff’s edge. Soon, you will see an open section with a gaping lava river between the paths.

Time your jump carefully to cross over to the other side. On the left wall, here is another large stone vein. Use a spell or attack to shatter it and reveal the second and final piece of the rare Mithral Ore hidden within.
