How to Find and Save Druid Halsin in Baldur’s Gate 3
You have two ways to save Halsin in BG3: rescue him from Shattered Sanctum, or meet him after killing three Goblin leaders.
Rescue Halsin From Shattered Sanctum in Baldur’s Gate 3
Druid Halsin is trapped in a cage of Shattered Sanctum, Goblin Camp. The camp is beside the Blighted Village. In Shattered Sanctum, you have to look for the area, Worg Pens. To learn which door leads to Worg Pens, you should find a room that has three Goblins and one white rat. In Worg pens, take the right stairs, and you will encounter three goblins throwing stones at a caged bear. This bear is Halsin, you have to save him from them. Fight the Goblins, then the Halsin bear will break out of his cage and join you.
After the fight, he will turn back into a human, and you can talk to him. In Baldur’s Gate 3, if you try to recruit him now, he will ask you for time, as he wants to safeguard Grove. You can ask “All right. How do I Help?” to help him finish his mission. He will now ask for your help in eliminating drow Minthara, hobgoblin Dror Ragzlin and Priestess Gut (True Soul Gut). Help him and then recruit him.
Kill Goblin Leaders to Find Halsin in BG3
You have to kill drow Minthara, hobgoblin Dror Ragzlin and Priestess Gut (True Soul Gut) before going to Worg Pens. They are also in the Shattered Sanctum, so find and eliminate them. If you do that, you will see that the cage is empty and Halsin has returned to Druid Grove. Now, you can just go there and persuade him to join you.
