Black Myth: Wukong has several secret bosses that you can take on and one such boss is Erlang Shen. While he’s the tutorial boss that’s compulsory to fight against, later in the game, he’s optional and can be beaten if you want to unlock the secret or “true” ending of the game. How to Get to Erlang in Black Myth Wukong
- Erlang in Black Myth: Wukong can be found in the Secret Area of Mount Mei and can be accessed after you complete the game.
- To reach him, go to Pagoda Realm (the location from Chapter 3) and then to The Great Pagoda Keeper Shrine.
- From here, you need to find and talk to Bodhisattva Maitreya who will tell you about a secret route. Following this will take you to Secret: Mount Mei which is where you can start the fight with Erlang, The Sacred Divinity.
- Remember that when you finish Chapter 6, click on Continue instead of New Cycle because at this point, you don’t want to start NG+, but to reach the secret boss.
Now, if you haven’t finished the game yet, reaching this location will take time because you have a lot of prerequisites to complete beforehand. To get to Mount Mei, you should first complete the Treasure Hunter quest and beat all final bosses in every secret area. The Treasure Hunter quest can be started in Chapter 3. The NPC can be found near Bitter Lake and you’ll hear him asking for help. Talking to him will start the side-quest.
As a part of his quest, you will have to find Melon Field and defeat the Defeat Green-Capped Martialist.
How to Unlock Mount Mei in Black Myth: Wukong
- You need to beat final bosses in every secret area, namely, Ancient Guanyin Temple, Kingdom of Sahali, Purple Cloud Mountain, and Bishui cave.
- Then, go to The Great Pagoda Keeper’s Shrine which can be reached from the Snow-Veiled Trail Keeper’s Shrine. When you’re at the Snow-Veiled Trail shrine, go forward, cross the wooden bridge, take a slight left, and keep going.
- The snowy path should lead you to a location with a tower – turn left from here.
- Approach the interactable element and press E to ‘Go’ and doing this will take you to The Great Pagoda Keeper’s Shrine in Pagoda Realm.
- Here, search for the Bodhisattva Maitreya and initiate a cutscene. And that’s it, he’ll open up the way to Mount Mei in Black Myth Wukong. Be sure to activate the Shrine after climbing the mountain.
