Charizard one of the strongest Pokemon in the games is about to appear in Tera Raids in Scarlet & Violet. It isn’t going to be any random Charizard but will have the Tera-type Dragon and the Mightiest mark. But finding it won’t be easy, especially if you have just started playing this game. How to Find Charizard Tera Raid Battles in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
You can find Charizard Tera Raids starting from December 15th, 2022, to December 18th, 2022. These are 7-star raids represented by black Tera Raid crystals, that will start at 4 PM PST and will end at 3:59 PM PST on 18th December. This is also an event raid, so the only times you can take part is during the above-mentioned days. Once the raids are over you will have to wait for the Pokemon Team to bring them back.
But just having the game won’t make you eligible for the raids. There is a certain criteria you need to meet to be able to participate in them. I have explained about them in detail in the unlocking the 7-star raids guide. I suggest you check it for details but here is the gist of it.
To be able to play Charizard Raids you must have 6-star raids unlocked. You can do that by:
- Completing the main game (all 3 paths).
- Next, complete at least 10 successful 5-star raids.
- Now, go back and defeat all 8 gym leaders.
- Finally, win the Academy Ace Tournament.
Once you do all of the above you will be able to interact with the black Tera Raid crystals and join the Charizard Tera Raid battles. Do remember you can only catch this special Charizard once per save data. The best part is even after you catch it, you will still be able to participate in other black crystal Tera Raid Battles to get rewards aside from Charizard with the Mightiest Mark.
In case you miss it then there is a chance that Charizard may still appear in other events. But whether it will be the same Charizard with the Dragon Tera type as in this event or some other Charizard, that’s for the developers to decide.
