Fast Travel in Diablo Immortal can be achieved very early in your playthrough. You can avail this feature once you have unlocked your first Waypoint. After which, you will begin to unlock other Waypoints as you progress through the game. You can access fast Travel in one of two ways.
Through a Waypoint
In the area, you will find Waypoints like an Interactable Glowing Circular Platform structure. Clicking on it will open up the map and you can Fast Travel by clicking another Waypoint shown on the map. You will be able to find it by checking your Map.
Through the Map
You can Fast Travel anywhere by just opening the Map and clicking your Destination Waypoint.
Both are similar in function and you are right to assume so but there is one key difference, the speed of Fast Travel. Traveling with the aid of a Waypoint is faster than without. Although the difference is near negligible. It can come into factor depending on how good your System is.
