What is Expertise in Lost Ark?
In Lost Ark, each of the player’s characters has Stats. There are 6 Combat Stats, those being Critical, Specialty, Subdue, Agility, Endurance, & Expertise. Depending on the Translation of the game, Expertise is also called Proficiency. Expertise is a stat that deals with Status Effects in Lost Ark like Debuffs & Staggers. It will boost the Duration of the Effects of your Attacks. It’s like a Stat for DOT effects that negatively affects your enemies. The higher the stat, the longer the Debuff will last. This Stat is perfect for Characters that do Status Effects Attacks like Burns, Poisons, Stuns, etc.
Expertise is also useful when going against Enemies that do Status Effects Attacks. For most Builds, Expertise doesn’t really help that much. But if you focus on a Status Build, this is will become a Priority Stat. So Support classes should invest in the Expertise Stat as they can aid by debuffing the Enemies. You can also have a high Expertise stat if you want to abuse a certain Status like Burns or Stuns. It will become an annoying build to face against and will also have many weaknesses. But it will be fun to try out.
