• Whenever you encounter a Deogen, NEVER try to hide from them. This ghost can detect you no matter where you hide, so hiding from them is futile. The next thing you should know about them is they are both quite fast and slow depending on the situation. These situations are:
  • Fast: Whenever you aren’t facing them and are far from them they will move really fast.
  • Slow: Once this ghost is in your range and line of sight or if you are looking at them they move slowly.
• Thus in order to escape them, you should lure them somewhere where you can run around in circles. Look at them while running around in a circle to slow them down drastically. Once they are slowed down take your chance and run for the exit. While they are slow they won’t be able to catch you immediately but once they pick up the speed you are as good as dead.
• Things to avoid:
  • Deadends: One of the worst things that can happen to you when you encounter this ghost is, that you run into a dead end. That basically spells death. Because they charge at you in a line of sight. So even if they are slow having nowhere to run is going to be a problem. In case you do run into a dead-end then use a Smudge stick to escape the Deogen.
  • Hiding: As explained before, hiding from this ghost is no good as it can detect you.
