Dripstone Caves are one of the new Biomes that were introduced in the 1.18 update of Minecraft. It is one of the Biomes that generate underground. Dripstone Caves are filled with resources and finding one will be very beneficial. In today’s article, I will show you how to find Dripstone Caves in Minecraft 1.18.
Where to Find Dripstone Caves in Minecraft 1.18 Update
Like I have mentioned before, Dripstone Caves are a Subterranean Biome. This means that, unlike most Biomes, you can run on the surface with the F3 Menu active and find the Dripstone Caves Biome. So a Chunk can have more than one Biome in it. Unlike the Lush Caves Biome, there are no surface-level indicators that point towards a Dripstone Caves Biome. Dripstone Caves can spawn anywhere at any height, underground or at least inside of a Mountain.
You can easily find them in Minecraft 1.18 by searching them in Deep Ravines. Usually, they cut the land deep enough that Dripstone Caves can be seen. If not they find Large Cave Formations that will eventually lead you to a Dripstone Cave. Exploration will be your biggest friend. Roaming and exploring the underground world will also lead to Dripstone Caves. Once you do find them collect some of the Stalactites so that you can make a renewable Lava Farm.
Dripstone Caves are like other caves but have the Dripstone Blocks scattered along the surface with Stalactites hanging from the ceiling and Stalagmites growing from the ground. Copper Ore is very common here which generates big Blobs. Mobs that can spawn in Dripstone Caves are Glow Squid, Spider, Zombie, Drowned, Zombie Villager, Skeleton, Creeper, Slime, Enderman, Witch, Spider Jockey, Chicken Jockey, and Bats. Slimes will only spawn if it’s a Slime Chunk. Drowned can spawn in the Aquifers that are generated in the Dripstone Caves Biomes.
