Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 allows you to enjoy the beauty of customization on characters and weapons. But obviously, to get complete access to customizable, you need to gain XP and level up. Player XP and Weapon XP are two different leagues in which you can advance. Wherein, the first one contributes toward your character level and the latter one to your weapon specifically.
The most common way of gaining XP is by completing objectives and playing more matches. However, you can use Double XP Tokens or Double Weapon XP tokens to level up faster in MW3. How to Get Double XP & Double Weapon XP Token in MW3
Collect from Battle Pass
The most common way of obtaining Double Weapon XP & Double Player XP includes ranking up in Battle Pass. Both COD Battle Pass Premium and Free versions have rewards like these tokens on certain Tiers. So you can play the game and complete objectives to rank up the BP and collect your reward.
Take Part in Promotional Collaborations
Call of Duty collaborates with various companies as a medium of promotion. For instance, they have collaborated with Monster Energy at the time of launch. So for every Monster Energy Drink you purchase, you will receive a code. And by redeeming it you will get rewards like Double XP Token in MW3.
Complete Campaign Missions
There are certain Campaign Missions in MW3 that give Double XP and Double Player XP Tokens after completion. Those missions are not very lengthy so you can complete them and bag the rewards easily. For your reference, here’s a list of those missions that you can complete to get the XP Tokens:
- Precious Cargo (2nd Mission)
- Complete this mission to get Double Weapon XP and Double Player XP Tokens for 30 minutes each.
- Deep Cover (5th Mission)
- Complete this mission to get Double Weapon XP and Double Player XP Tokens for 30 minutes each.
- Oligarch (9th Mission)
- Complete this mission to get Double Weapon XP and Double Player XP Tokens for 30 minutes each.
- Gora Dam (12th Mission)
- Complete this mission to get Double Weapon XP and Double Player XP Tokens for 30 minutes each.
Play Matches during Double XP Weekends
Like in previous titles, there will be Double XP Weekends in COD MW3 as well. During this period, you can play matches and earn Double Weapon XP for every enemy you eliminate. Moreover, you will also be rewarded with Double Player XP for every objective (like capturing flags) you complete.
At the time of launch, the developers haven’t announced about the Double XP Weekends but we can expect it to drop soon. So make sure to keep an eye on it.
How Double Weapon XP & Player XP Token Work in MW3?
Once you have used a Double XP Token, it will be activated for the specified period. During that period, you will receive x2 XP gains. For example, if you have activated the Double Weapon XP Token, then you will receive more XP for every Kill. But keep in mind that the XP received will only rank up the weapon you used for killing. Ranking up a weapon will unlock more attachments and attachment slots for you.
Similarly, you will get more Player XP by activating the Double Player XP Token. All you have to do is complete objectives like holding a Hardpoint, defusing bombs, etc. Doing so unlocks new weapons, skins, and much more.
