Disney Dreamlight Valley: How To Feed Animals & Favorite Food

Disney Dreamlight Valley How To Feed All Animals

While exploring the Dreamlight Valley in Disney’s new game, you will come across these cute creatures that you can feed and get drops like Disney Shards. These critters are found in each biome and with a variety of different mannerisms and preferences. This is because there are different types of animals in each region and some of them require a specific approach to feeding them their special food. If you feed some of these critters enough times, you can even turn them into your pet companions that follow you around the map. In this guide we will break down all the different animals in Disney Dreamlight Valley and how to feed them.

How to Feed Dreamlight Valley Animals and Favorite Food

There are a total of eight different critters in Dreamlight Valley and not all of them are as easy to approach as some others. Below is our list of all the animals, where to find them, and their favorite food for your reference.

    Squirrels

    • Favorite Food: Peanuts
These are usually found in the Plaza and they are relatively very easy to approach. Sometimes they’ll just run up to you when they are looking for food.

    Rabbits

    • Favorite Food: Carrots
Rabbits are usually found in the Peaceful Meadows region. Now, these critters are a little bit tricky to approach. They are very playful and run away and hop a couple of times before they let you feed them. They’re waggish even when they are hungry so you have to entertain their spirit a bit.

    Sea Turtles

    • Favorite Food: Seaweed
They are usually spotted on Dazzle Beach. All you have to do to feed them is approach them with some seaweed from the beach. They will shy away into their shell at first but they eventually pop out if they are hungry.

    Raccoons

    • Favorite Food: Blueberries
These mischievous little creatures are found in the Forest of Valor. In order to feed a raccoon, you have to take a slow and steady approach. They will sit idle and stare at you if they are hungry but get startled very easily. You just have to carefully get closer to feed these furry critters.

    Crocodiles

    • Favorite Food: Lobster
Crocodiles are usually found in the Glade of Trust. Now the approach to feeding these is a lot similar to that of raccoons. You just have to be cautious not to startle them and slowly get close enough to feed them their lobsters.

    Foxes

    • Favorite Food: White Sturgeon
Foxes can be found in the foothills of the Frosted Heights region. Now, these are very different from all the other critters as they are naturally cordial and will approach you when they are hungry. All you have to do is track them around and they will accept your food.

    Sunbirds

    • Favorite Food: Different types of Flowers
These flutterers are found in the Sunlit Plateau. These are just very quick on their wings so if you want to feed them, you will have to keep up with their pace.

    Ravens

    • Favorite Food: Unknown
These mysterious birds are found in the Forgotten Lands. Unfortunately, there isn’t much known about them yet. Players have complained of not finding them at all, even when exploring their spawn region. Nonetheless, we will update this article when we receive any updates.

Now that you know where to find all the critters and their respective favorite food, you can unlock them to make them your companion. An important thing to remember is that each biome will spawn only two of its correspondent critters and you can feed them only once per day.

That is all you need to know about how to feed animals in Disney Dreamlight Valley. If you found this article helpful and want more related content, check out our guide on how to upgrade tools in this game.
