Baldur’s Gate 3 can be troublesome if you don’t know how to disarm Traps. While the demons, enemies, and other underlying dangers already make the game terrifying, traps can be extremely fatal or turn the tide against you. If you set off one, there is no guarantee whether you or any of the characters will survive. Although they come in different shapes and size, the way to disable traps is similar for all. Do note that players will need to have characters with high Perception skills to detect the traps in BG3.
How to Disarm Traps in Baldur’s Gate 3
To Disarm Traps in Baldur’s Gate 3, simply right-click on the trap and select the Disable option. However, do note that you will have to purchase the Trap Disarm Toolkit, in order to do so in BG3. Do note that you will need a character with high Sleight of Hand ability to disarm the trap. You can try to enter and then leave camp with characters who possess this ability to try and make it work. While this is the savory way of disarming traps, there are a couple other difficult methods that players can try out.
Although this method won’t work with every trap, players can choose to fire projectiles, use spells, or items and trigger the traps to render them disabled in BG3. However, you will need characters with high Perception skills and detect the traps beforehand. Also, once triggered the trap will destroy everything in its AoE so make sure no party member or valuable loot chest is close to the trap.
Additionally, players can even try to move objects and place them on the traps in order to disarm them in Baldur’s Gate 3. Since they won’t be triggered now, players won’t have a lot to worry about. There is definitely the possibility that it won’t work with a few traps. However, it was quite useful while trying to loot Sarcophagus in the Dank Crypt.
